Custom fibreglass composite parts

At its site in Villers-Saint-Paul, less than an hour from Paris, BORFLEX® designs and manufactures standard and bespoke composite parts: pultrusion, BMC/SMC/RTM moulding, and machining. The entire production process is carried out in-house at a single site, with no subcontracting.

Bespoke profiles

Resin, fibre, dimensions and mechanical properties tailored to your specifications, with an in-house design department and on-site production facilities.

BMC, SMC or RTM, depending on your part

Depending on the geometry, the series and the mechanical requirements of the project, BORFLEX®
moulds your composite parts using compression moulding or low-pressure injection moulding.

Bulk Moulding Compound

Short-fibre-reinforced polyester resin, moulded by compression or injection moulding at 130–150 °C and 50–100 bar.

  • Two smooth faces, high precision
  • High production rates
  • Moderate material costs

Suitable for: small and medium-sized runs of complex parts, with inserts.

BMC composite
Sheet Moulding Compound

A long-fibre
resin-impregnated sheet, pressed at 140–160 °C and 50–100 bar.

  • Large dimensions
  • High mechanical strength
  • Surfaces ready for painting

Suitable for: large structural components, high production rates.

SMC composite
Resin Transfer Moulding

Gel-coated moulded reinforcement, resin injected at low pressure (=5 bar), without the application of heat.

  • Attractive surface finish
  • Sandwich structures, low VOC emissions
  • Cost-effective tools

For: structural or aesthetic components, workshop flexibility.

Resin Transfer Moulding

The finish that makes all the difference

Bespoke machining

Drilling, tapping, assembly: profiles and castings supplied ready to fit.

Sheer curtains on request

A finish that ensures a uniform colour and protects both the product and its users – a rare feature in the composites market.

Systematic quality control

At every stage of the process, from the resin
pellet to the finished item.

Profiles in action

Walkways, guardrails, ladders and hoardings: industrial access and safety structures made from composite profiles – lightweight, corrosion-resistant and requiring no painting or other maintenance.

Key issues

  • Sustainability:
replacing traditional cladding (wood) with long-lasting composite materials, thereby reducing the frequency of replacement.
  • Eco-design: the
use of composite materials and recycled rubber to reduce the carbon footprint.
  • CSR & comfort:
improved accessibility (non-slip), reduced noise and vibration.

BORFLEX® Solution

  • A low-carbon formulation incorporating recycled rubber (VALUE RUBBER by BORFLEX®), with no compromise on mechanical performance.
  • Complete resistance to UV light, temperature fluctuations and humidity, minimising component degradation.

Key benefits

  • Performance: high mechanical and thermal
    strength.
  • Comfort & safety: long-lasting anti-slip and shock-absorbing
    properties, reduced noise levels.
  • Durability: reduced maintenance
    costs.
  • Resources conserved: a life
cycle that is three to four times longer than that of conventional materials.
