In this article, we will delve into the world of JEC, exploring the expertise and achievements of the BORFLEX® Group through three product examples.
1. JEC World 2024: Come and see BORFLEX® at stand 6F89!
The JEC World trade fair is one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the composites industry. Every year, it brings together thousands of industry professionals and experts to discover the latest innovations. In 2023, more than 1,200 exhibitors shared their expertise with over 40,200 visitors from 106 different countries. The JEC 2024 exhibition offers a dynamic platform for networking. 2. Pultruded composites and machined parts
The BORFLEX® Group is preparing to unveil its latest innovations at the JEC World 2024 exhibition. Among these, you will be able to discover our pultruded composites and machined parts. BORFLEX® offers a wide range of standard parts, such as solid and hollow rods, as well as ‘T’- and ‘H’-shaped structural profiles. Among our new products, we will be unveiling our RUBBY® by BORFLEX system. This new composite and rubber-based system, designed for pedestrian crossings, perfectly combines our ability to create bespoke solutions tailored to your specific needs.
3. Discover FIBERROLL® – elastomers designed for the AFP
Another essential product in the composites sector! FIBERROLL® rolls by BORFLEX are the must-have ‘consumables’ for AFP*!
AFP [Automated Fibre Placement] refers to a manufacturing technology that enables the automatic placement of reinforcing fibres, such as carbon fibre or glass fibre, onto a matrix to create composite parts. This method is widely used in sectors such as aerospace and the automotive industry for the manufacture of lightweight, high-strength components.
We will be showcasing our latest innovations in terms of performance, in particular the FIBERROLL® rollers, which remain unrivalled to this day. This elastomer-based FIBERROLL® system, designed and tailored for fibre placement applications, can withstand temperature peaks of over 400°C. The range offers resistance from 80°C to 350°C for continuous use.
With over 65 years’ expertise in elastomers and composites, we have developed this range specifically tailored to the demanding conditions of fibre installation.
4. New products from the group featuring elastomer- and polyurethane-coated mesh
We will be presenting another new development from the group: our expertise in fabric coating. We produce coated fabric, with coating applied to one or both sides, with a thickness ranging from 0.17 to 1.2 mm and a width of 1.8 metres. We can cater to your specific requirements, with testing available in our laboratories.
