As European defence capabilities ramp up, who manufactures the components that nobody sees — but without which nothing holds together?

16 June 2026

At Eurosatory 2026 (Paris Nord Villepinte, 15–19 June), BORFLEX GROUP is reaffirming its position as a strategic, independent supplier to the European Defence Industrial and Technological Base. An independent French industrial group with over 65 years’ experience, BORFLEX is today the only player in its sector to process and transform both elastomers and composites in its own factories — two families of materials that are critical to the most demanding land, aerospace and naval programmes.

THE QUESTION NO ONE ASKS — AND WHICH BORFLEX ANSWERS

A tank, an armoured vehicle, a submarine or a drone contains hundreds of rubber and composite parts: seals, bellows, anti-vibration components, structural profiles, and coated fabrics for diving suits and NBC protective clothing. These components are invisible but critical: if they fail, an entire programme comes to a standstill.

BORFLEX GROUP formulates its own compounds, designs, manufactures and supplies rubber and composite parts in small and medium-sized batches, all under one industrial roof in France.

A DUAL TECHNICAL EXPERTISE UNIQUE IN EUROPE

BORFLEX GROUP operates through two complementary areas of expertise, each of which is managed in-house from material formulation right through to delivery:

ELASTOMERSCOMPOSITES
RubberFibreglass pultrusion
SiliconeSMC / BMC / RTM Moulding
TPE / LSRMachining
Polyurethane
EPDM / Viton® / Butyl
Coating of technical fabrics

The integrated processes cover moulding, extrusion, single- or double-sided coating, machining, assembly, cutting, 3D-printed prototyping and pultrusion, as well as moulding and machining for composites. 3D printing enables the validation of complex joints.

ICONIC VEHICLES FITTED WITH BORFLEX PARTS

In the field, the group’s achievements speak for themselves: armoured vehicles (turret, hatch and windscreen seals, battery enclosures), SPRaT — Rapid Truss Installation System (stabiliser leg bellows, polyurethane skids), Motorised Floating Bridges (seals, cylinder bellows), tank tracks, grenade holders, shock-absorbing components, coated fabrics for NBC diving suits and parachute straps.

These projects span the land, naval and aeronautical sectors, in collaboration with the leading prime contractors in the European defence industry.

CERTIFICATIONS: THE HIGHEST STANDARDS

The group meets the most stringent specifications in the defence, nuclear and rail sectors, with a certified framework covering CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) risks:

ISO 9001CertificationISO 19443
NBC / CBRNPMUC – EDFDIN

“Against a backdrop of the end of the ‘peace dividends’ and an industrial ramp-up, our role is to provide defence contractors with a level of reliability and responsiveness that meets their operational requirements. What sets us apart is a rare capability: in-house expertise in both rubber and composites, enabling us to support our clients from co-design through to series production, without relying on foreign sources for raw materials or processes.”
Mattéï-Constantin THEODORE — Site Manager, BORFLEX CORVOL

EUROSATORY 2026 — A STRATEGIC EVENT
