A record number of enquiries for BORFLEX® at this trade fair

A few weeks ago, from 17 to 19 January, the SwissPlastics trade fair took place in Lucerne. The BORFLEX® Group exhibited on a 30 m² stand, featuring the same design as the one used at the InnoTrans trade fair held in Berlin in September 2022. It was a real success for our group, as we recorded over 140 contacts in just three days.

1. The diversity of the BORFLEX® Group

For BORFLEX®, this trade fair is very important, as it takes place in the country where one of our sites is based and provides an opportunity to meet the various clients and project managers with whom they work. Furthermore, BORFLEX® is one of the few exhibitors at this trade fair to offer solutions in the rubber sector, which provides an excellent opportunity to showcase its product range and expertise. BORFLEX® exhibited several systems and solutions developed for our clients.

We welcomed Nicolas Robert from Genny Factory SA, one of our clients, to our stand. He brought along the latest version of the Genny Zero: his electric two-wheeler, which is like a motorbike but with a design that makes it as dynamic as a car. At the client’s specific request, BORFLEX® developed no fewer than five technical components, made from elastomers and rubber-to-metal assemblies, which are just a few examples of our expertise in this product. Furthermore, these technical components represent the wide range of expertise and products that BORFLEX® can offer to a wide variety of industries.

This significant collaboration between the manufacturer and the customer attracted a great deal of interest during the trade fair, as virtually every visitor stopped by our stand, drawn by a beautifully designed ‘finished’ product. This enabled the BORFLEX® experts to showcase all the solutions and products offered by the group in its various catalogues. Indeed, companies in the medical sector showed great interest in LRS liquid silicone systems and components, whilst other sectors also approached us regarding rubber and composite profiles.

2. Technical products

The technical products manufactured by BORFLEX® have a wide range of applications in the sanitation sector. Whether intended for use in contact with fresh water or waste water, the products are manufactured from the highest-quality materials. Material specifications are optimised according to the type of item and form an essential part of the product test plan. The use of certified compounds and the geometric precision of the items guarantee customers the highest quality products.

Still within this important sector, we wanted to highlight what BORFLEX® produces and its contribution to the customer’s finished product. Here are two examples of high-quality products for the sanitary sector:

1) Water valve (Nussbaum): Manufactured from a rubber compound suitable for drinking water and compliant with the latest standards. The excellent rubber-to-metal adhesion and mechanical properties ensure a long service life.

2) STOPR: non-return valve for fire hydrants (Von Roll)

Thanks to its optimised design, STOPR also offers excellent water flow rates.
