Integration of BOBET by the BORFLEX Group

On May 25, 2023, the BORFLEX® group, which has specialized in the design and manufacture of elastomer parts(rubber, silicone, LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber), TPE and polyurethane), pultruded composite profiles and molded composite parts for over 60 years, announced the acquisition of BOBET.

The BOBET Group is an international leader in the design and production of fabrics coated with natural or synthetic elastomers.

Founded in 1937, BOBET is renowned for its expertise in the development, production and sale of doctor-coated rubberized fabrics. The company is ISO 9001:2015 certified, and its products are renowned for their reliability and high performance.

BOBET's headquarters and production facilities are located in Grand-Quevilly, near Rouen, and the company generates over 55% of its sales from exports.

The acquisition of BOBET will enable the BORFLEX® Group to expand its product range and strengthen its position in the international rubber market. Bobet will bring to BORFLEX® its experience and skills in research and development, as well as its international network of customers.

For BORFLEX®, this acquisition is an important step in its growth strategy. It will enable it to diversify its product portfolio and expand its customer base. For its part, BOBET will benefit from the expertise and know-how of the 11 companies in the BORFLEX® group.

The BORFLEX® Group is a key player in the railway, aeronautical, hydroelectric, nuclear, shipbuilding and many other cutting-edge sectors. It's only natural that BORFLEX® should join forces with BOBET, with whom it shares know-how and common sectors.

The aeronautics market is a case in point: BOBET produces protective covers for aircraft, and BORFLEX® has been supplying AFP (Automated Fiber Placement) rollers, with a dedicated FIBERROLL® range, for many years to majoraeronautics contractors.

The BORFLEX group will also be present at the International Aeronautics and Space Exhibition from June 19 to 25, 2023, Hall 2B E32 alongside the ALTYTUD cluster at Le BOURGET airport. This will be an opportunity to present the full range of BORFLEX® products, including AFP rollers and BORFLEX® BOBET coated fabrics.

In conclusion, the takeover of BOBET by the BORFLEX® group represents a promising opportunity for both companies.

Together, the two companies will be able to develop innovative solutions to meet the diverse needs of their customers in a wide range of application sectors.

This acquisition also confirms the BORFLEX Group's determination to pursue its growth and diversification strategy in France and abroad.
