RUBBY® range: Sustainable innovation for floor coverings
BORFLEX® presents its latest innovation: the RUBBY® range. This complete technical flooring system combines performance and versatility to meet the challenges of the most demanding environments, such as railway stations and high-traffic infrastructures.

The complete RUBBY® system consists of a joist and a decking (walking surface). The system is made from elastomers and composites whose formulations and blends the BORFLEX® group has mastered for over 65 years. This expertise has enabled us to take the process of integrating recycled materials even further, without losing performance, in order to meet our customers' challenges. Today, BORFLEX® is able to substitute 20 to 40% virgin rubber in its rubber compounds, ensuring 100% recyclability of manufactured products.
This innovative solution offers a sustainable response to the specific needs of modern infrastructures, while contributing to the circular economy and reducing the environmental footprint.
Key features
Composition: Rubber decking and joists, recycled rubber and composites.
Rot-proof: Resistant to moisture and extreme weather conditions
Corrosion resistance: maintaining integrity in aggressive environments
Easy to install and maintain: quick installation and low maintenance.
Applications
Stations and transport infrastructure
High-traffic construction zones
Demanding industrial environments

The RUBBY® range has proven its reliability and durability in a variety of contexts, offering a high-performance solution that reduces maintenance costs while improving infrastructure operating efficiency.
Come and discover this complete technical system at INNOTRANS 2024 and explore how RUBBY® can transform your infrastructure and transportation projects.
Recycled and recyclable elastomers: BORFLEX® expertise!
BORFLEX® demonstrates its commitment to the environment and industrial performance through its expertise in recycled and recyclable elastomers. Thanks to a European research project, the company contributed to the development of Value- Rubber, and thus launched its Value Rubber by BORFLEX® range, a devulcanization* technology enabling vulcanized rubber to be reused in new formulations.

Key points of BORFLEX® innovation:
- 20% to 40% substitution of virgin rubber by recycled rubber
- 100% recyclability of manufactured products
- Retains mechanical properties comparable to new rubber
- Significant reduction in carbon footprint and waste volume
Practical applications:
- RUBBY® range: complete pedestrian walkway system that can incorporate recycled rubber
- Solutions for rolling stock and rail infrastructure
This innovation positions BORFLEX® as a key player in the development of virtuous elastomer and composite solutions, combining industrial performance and environmental responsibility.
*Devulcanization: Principle and Advantages
The VALUE-RUBBER® project represents a major breakthrough in rubber recycling. Devulcanization is a process that "reactivates" vulcanized rubber, a material traditionally considered difficult to recycle due to its irreversible chemical properties. By breaking down the bridges formed during vulcanization, this technique enables rubber components to be recovered for reuse in new formulations. The benefits of this technology include improved waste management, reduced use of virgin raw materials and the creation of materials that retain mechanical characteristics comparable to those of new rubber.
