As European defense capabilities ramp up, who is manufacturing the parts that no one sees—but without which nothing holds together?
At Eurosatory 2026 (Paris Nord Villepinte, June 15–19), BORFLEX GROUP reaffirms its position as a strategic, independent subcontractor to the European Defense Industrial and Technological Base. An independent French industrial group with over 65 years of experience, BORFLEX is today the only player in its field to master and process both elastomers and composites in its own factories—two families of materials critical to the most demanding land, aerospace, and naval programs.
Background: In light of the €800 billion “ReArm Europe” plan and the ramp-up in production that manufacturers have been required to undertake since 2022, the resilience of subcontractors has become a matter of national sovereignty. The EU remains dependent on non-EU suppliers for nearly 80% of its orders. SMEs and mid-sized companies in the defense, aerospace, and defense industries are now at the center of the European strategic debate.

THE QUESTION NO ONE ASKS — AND THAT BORFLEX ANSWERS
A tank, an armored vehicle, a submarine, or a drone contains hundreds of rubber and composite parts: seals, bellows, vibration-damping components, structural profiles, and coated fabrics for diving suits and NBC protective clothing. These components are invisible but critical: if they fail , an entire program comes to a halt.
BORFLEX GROUP formulates its own compounds, designs, manufactures, and delivers small- and medium-volume runs of rubber and composite parts, all under one industrial roof in France.

A DUAL TECHNICAL EXPERTISE UNIQUE IN EUROPE
BORFLEX GROUP operates through two complementary business units, each of which handles the entire process from material formulation to delivery:
| ELASTOMERS | COMPOSITES |
|---|---|
| Rubber | Fiberglass pultrusion |
| Silicone | SMC / BMC / RTM Molding |
| Small Business / LSR | Machining |
| Polyurethane | |
| EPDM / Viton® / Butyl | |
| Coating of technical fabrics |
Our integrated processes include molding, extrusion, single- or double-sided coating, machining, assembly, cutting, 3D printing for prototyping, and pultrusion, as well as molding and machining for composites. 3D printing enables the validation of complex joints.
ICONIC VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH BORFLEX PARTS
In the field, the group’s achievements speak for themselves: armored vehicles (turret, hatch, and windshield seals; battery boxes), SPRaT —Rapid Truss Deployment System (stabilizer leg bellows, polyurethane skids), Motorized Pontoon Bridges (seals, cylinder bellows), tank tracks, grenade holders, shock-absorbing components, coated fabrics for NBC suits, and parachute straps.
These projects span the land, naval, and aerospace sectors, in collaboration with the leading prime contractors in the European defense industry.
CERTIFICATIONS: THE HIGHEST STANDARDS
The group meets the most stringent specifications in the defense, nuclear, and rail sectors, with a certified foundation covering CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) risks:
| ISO 9001 | IRIS Certification | ISO 19443 |
| NBC / CBRN | PMUC – EDF | DIN |
“As the post-war economic boom comes to an end and industrial production ramps up, our role is to provide defense contractors with the reliability and responsiveness that meet their operational requirements. What sets us apart is a rare capability: in-house expertise in both rubber and composites, and the ability to support our customers from co-design through to series production, without relying on foreign sources for raw materials or processes.”

EUROSATORY 2026 — A STRATEGIC EVENT
BORFLEX GROUP will be attending Eurosatory 2026 (Paris Nord Villepinte, June 15–19, 2026) as a qualified trade visitor. This edition, the most ambitious since the show’s inception in 1967, will bring together more than 2,000 exhibitors and 100,000 defense professionals from around the world, against the backdrop of Europe’s historic rearmament.
There, the group establishes strategic relationships with clients and prime contractors to anticipate the needs of future programs, identify opportunities for joint development, and reinforce its position as a trusted subcontractor in the European defense industry.
MEET US AT EUROSATORY — JUNE 15–19, 2026 — PARIS NORD VILLEPINTE
Our teams are available for one-on-one meetings throughout the trade show.
