Record number of contacts for BORFLEX® at this exhibition

A few weeks ago, from January 17 to 19, SwissPlastics was held in Lucerne. The BORFLEX® Group exhibited on a 30-square-meter booth with the same design as at the InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin in September 2022. It was a real success for our group, as we had more than 140 contacts in just three days.

1. The diversity of the BORFLEX® Group

For BORFLEX®, this exhibition is very important, as it takes place in the country of one of our sites and allows us to meet the various customers and project managers with whom we work. In addition, BORFLEX® is one of the few exhibitors at this show that offers solutions in the rubber sector, which is an excellent opportunity to showcase its range and expertise. BORFLEX® exhibited several systems and solutions developed for our customers.

We welcomed Nicolas Robert from Genny Factory SA, one of our customers, to our booth. He brought the latest version of the Genny Zero to the booth: his electric vehicle on two wheels like a motorcycle, but with an appearance that makes it as dynamic as a car. At the customer's specific request, BORFLEX® developed no less than five technical articles, made of elastomers and rubber-metal, which are just a few examples of our know-how on this product . Furthermore, these technical items represent the wide range of know-how and products that BORFLEX® can offer to multiple industries.

This important collaboration between the manufacturer and the customer generated a lot of interest during the trade fair, as almost every visitor stopped by our booth, attracted by a beautifully designed "finished" product. This gave the BORFLEX® experts the opportunity to present all the solutions and products offered by the group in its various catalogs. Indeed, companies from the medical sector showed great interest in LRS liquid silicone systems and parts, and other sectors also consulted us about rubber profiles and composites.

2. Technical products

The technical products manufactured by BORFLEX® have a wide range of applications in the sanitary sector. Whether they are intended for use in contact with fresh or waste water, the products are manufactured from the best materials. The material specifications are optimized for the type of article and form an essential part of the product test plan. The use of certified compounds and the geometric precision of the articles guarantee the customer the highest quality of their products.

Also for this important sector, we wanted to show what BORFLEX® produces and its involvement in the customer's end product. Here are two examples of high quality products for the sanitary sector:

1) Water valve(Nussbaum): Manufactured with a rubber compound for drinking water that meets the latest standards. The excellent rubber-metal adhesion and mechanical properties guarantee a long service life.

2) STOPR : non-return valve for fire hydrant (Von Roll)

Thanks to its optimized shape, STOPR is also characterized by excellent water flow values.
